Ksdk- It took a long time and a lot of
patience for Megan Broadfield to grow 18 inches of hair, but it only
took moments for her to decide to cut it all off. Broadfield went bald
Saturday to raise money for childhood cancer research and awareness. It
was part of St. Baldrick's Charity Event held at a Cosmetology School
in St. Louis.
"It's basically a symbol for cancer and for people who have to lose
their hair and they can't really help it because of cancer. It's just
kind of a symbol to help them cope with it," says the teen.
