Which is what the Jefferson College community, as a whole, received last week when the High Learning Commission gave the institution its top rating, a 10-year reaccreditation.
"It's a validation that we are a quality institution," Jefferson College President Wayne Watts said. "It was absolutely as good (of a result) as we could have expected."
The Higher Learning Commission's accreditation reviews involve a two-year process. It culminates with an on-site visit by Higher Learning Commission representatives, who look into every aspect of a school's operations, Watts said
